I wear a long sleeve under my work clothes even during an interview and they are surprised when I only have one tattoo on each forearm. But I wear it out of respect of the company rules. But there are ways to cover them?? If a tattoo isn’t racist, have nudity, or obscene why judge someone’s character and abilities on how they look? That can be asked about anything from the color of your hair to the shape of your face. Should I not hire someone because I don’t like their face? Does the way someone look impact the way they perform or act Angelica Pickles, again employers set the rules and employees don’t. You are NOT going to get hired at a Law Firm with tattoos that on certain areas of your body that they can see. The military does not allow tattoos on certain areas of your body if you want to join them. I think that people on this thread believe if society is accepting something than the company has to accept it. I made reference to the fact that smoking marijuana is legal in different states and companies will not hire or fire you if you come up hot on the drug test. I can careless if a person has tattoos. However, if a person decides to tattoo their face, neck or hands, places that can’t be covered it may hurt their job prospects. The same thing goes with body piercings too.
