Those who complain:Chris,should doctors and nurses work from home and abandon the patients in hospitals? If you have a problem and call an ambulance ,what will you do when they tell you they aren't coming because the The Grinch stole my lesson plan shirt is too deep.Firemen,same deal. Many professoins work no matter what and many never seem to acknowledge it or appreciate it. I also don't want to hear "they chose the profession. Yes they did because they are dedicated to your needs. Maybe some people should stay home bc there's a risk on the freeways and local roads as well. If ur job isn't pertaining to public services, maybe there should be more thought about who should or shouldn't stay home in these types of conditions. Yep, when I was stationed in Germany in the 90's the winters were brutal and storms like this were the norm. While most things on the base would grind to a halt the small village outside the base would never stop. People in that region have learned how to deal with extreme conditions.
