Sure did back in the day, you didn't have dryers way back then and when we did we still hung clothes out, they smelled so good with a fresh smell.  There was no other way. Big problem existed when there was no way to dry diapers on a rainy day except to drape them all over the house and hope the sun soon reappeared. I even ironed damp diapers to dry them. Absolutely. We didnt have a dryer. So we had to hang our clothes on the Clothes Liner.
