Defending the I’m a Dogaholic on the road to recovery shirt, they have a father who has major emotional problems , if you can beat another human, your disturbed , and also capable of mentally and emotionally abuseing his children.  And he’s most likely doing “the good things” for himself and no one else. It makes him look good to “provide” for his daughter and because he senses you trust him with her, but, forgive me, that’s a mistake, because it’s manipulation and he could easily run off with her to hurt you because you won’t drop the charges. I’d have zero trust of him, if it were me; though I can understand you cannot at least not yet prevent him from seeing her, I’d still be wary.  Agree with you . Please be careful now that he is alone with your daughter. A man who can so easily beat his wife without an ounce of remorse can very much also do the same to his children. Right now, he is unfit to be a parent. Your husband needs some self-reflection and many sessions of counselling. What he is currently doing to you could be stemming from unhealed wounds from when he was young.
