Pointless? Our objective is to win. We should not be there to nation build, but to kill the enemy, period. We are not in those nations to get oil. We do have a responsibility to assist in protecting oil fields and sea platforms. Those are the primary source of income for those nations. Afghanistan is the exception, where we are working to rid the region of the taliban. Also we get very, very little if any oil from those regions. You don’t have to support the action.
