 I blame the parents for not teaching her to keep all electronics away from the Some of us grew up listening to the Beatles the cool ones still do shirt, let alone something plugged into an outlet being used while in the bath. It's common sense what happened. If you take a extension cord and stick it into the water you'll get electrocuted, the only way this is preventable was if the parents taught her to not do exactly what she did. Bet she wouldn't use her hair dryer in the bathtub. Why the hell should she have thought it was ok to use something else plugged in. I'm sorry for the loss and I'm sorry for her family. But the only thing that would have prevented it would have been their teachings Wait, the step mom found her, but doesn't know if the phone dropped in the bathtub or was on the toilet and she reached for it. I'm pretty sure if it was in the tub she would know, would she not? Don't know why, but that statement just makes things sound fishy to me. I've done this exact same thing before. But I also wasn't touching my phone. It was just charging and I'd play music, and anytime I wanted to change the song I'd dry my hands and lean over the tub and change it.  So she ain't stupid. It's something you do without really thinking about. We've all done things that's dangerous but you never really think something bad will happen.
