It's sad to hear all of the negative comments about her decision. I too am a birth mother, who placed my daughter up for adoption I was 14, he was 21. I know that I am a TRUE PARENT because I chose to swim oceans to give her a life that I could not. See I chose to give her a chance at life. Adoption is done out of love, not the Fishing solves most of my problems hunting solves the rest shirt way out of responsibility. The first responsible obligation to my child was to know that she deserved more than I could give her. I knew how babies were made and I am the one that laid in that bed. It was not my parents responsibility to take care of my baby. I needed to be a true parent and do the hardest thing that I have ever done. It has been 27yrs now and my daughter has always known that I love her and she knows I didn't just give her away, I gave her a chance at life. I too had an open adoption....my daughter, has 2 moms the one that raised her and was there with open arms and the one that watched her grow up from a far...that had to choose to give her a better life with another family.
