 We had a dog like that. If my husband ever kissed me or hugged me in front of her, she'd bark at him. I think she just wanted to protect me. Chewie was a rescue dog, and maybe her first home may have been violent. By the Fear the beer brewers shirt, she loved my husband, she just didn't like us kissing. She was my best friend, and I still miss her. My Doberman did this to my first husband when we were dating! LOL I had to put her in a sit stay but she would glare at him. If he tried to kiss me, the dog would start growling. She wanted to be right beside me and half on my lap...and his. Any dog that has been on the streets or abused by anybody and gets taken in an adopted is vwry gratful to that family. We have 3 that were adopted and are very much lovebugs. Good luck with your new addition.  My Mom and I had a large dog who, every time my Mom would put her arm around me, would push in between us. Many years later, after her death, I adopted another rescue. Then when the old boy would snuggle up to me, this little girl would push between us.
