Oh yes but they smelled so fresh! Especially loved the amazing fresh air of the sheets & the bath towels! Ummmm yes I certainly do remember. Not a bit sorry for u Jean Young..we had no cellar. No washer and no dryer! So we had to run out with clothes dripping wet! Yes ,they would freeze ..but when they stopped dripping u brought them back in ,and hung them on whatever u could find.. yet we always had clean clothes.
