While most things on the base would grind to a halt the small village outside the base would never stop. People in that region have learned how to deal with extreme conditions.

 When I lived in Indiana it was understood that you did not steal a spot someone else had shoveled. Maybe slow down a bit, fewer hours, more leeway or something, but a full stop isn't possible what would you do without doctors, police, repairmen, food, power, water, internet, snowplow drivers, etc? ive had to go to school in worse back in the day. our school was always like never or the last to hear about it closing when we got dumped on in Minnesota.

Baby Grinch and Stitch shirt

On 9/11 he was my wake up call when it should have been Good Morning America as much as he was a professional even his voice cracked on that day. He was a great reporter and he's truly missed. I was 18 when 9/11 happened. Peter Jennings made it less scary, there was something about his humanity in the Baby Grinch and Stitch shirt thing that was incredibly comforting. When journalism was a real thing, not just entertainment reporting. I find myself thinking of him often as big stories break. Thoughts are with his family today.  Thats a regular winter scene this time of year in Thunder Bay,Ontario,Canada.Not sure what all the fuss is aboot.Need a snow blower mate. where is the parking space saver chair? You need to put at least 2 chairs in the space to save it once it's cleared because otherwise a clear space is fair game.

So sad. I remember the I’m not short I’m Chucky size shirt he passed away, & told myself that they should ban cigarettes. Although they are not banned, there are soooo many places that people cannot smoke. Progress. I loved Peter Jennings. I remember him being the news anchor when I was a kid and all through my school years. And I'll never forget waking up on 9/11 and trying to piece together what had happened. Peter Jennings was talking about a plane crash. And then another plane crash. And then I saw the towers fall down, and the planes crashing into them. I sat there for hours listening to him. It was awful, and yet his voice was comforting. He was the best. Still miss him too.

 It is very hard to believe that Peter has been dead for 10 years.  He was the Raccoon vintage live fast eat trash shirt, and, when someone mentions anyone else, allegedly, a news person, I say that I am waiting for the return of Peter Jennings. He was one of a kind! Still miss him.  What a great reporter. When journalism meant telling the truth. Honor, integrity, morals. I wish more people were like him. The current ABC News Anchor David Muir ABC World News Tonight with David Muir) has a similar feel/interpretation that Peter Jennings had. I hope David Muir continues to inspire us as Peter did. I cannot believe that Peter Jennings has been gone for 10 years. It seems like it was "just a couple years ago.  I really miss him on the news !! David Muir is very very good, too. I wasn't certain after Diane Sawyer left if David would be a good fit but he really is.
